Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies was established by Geetanjali Education Society, Udaipur. The members of the society are people with great vision, deep interest and commitment to develop state-of-the-art Infrastructure for educational pursuit. It has the campus spread over 20 acres with sprawling lawns. The campus is with all the modern amenities. The college is affiliated to Mohan Lal Sukhadia University (MLSU). It has been approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The campus is situated in Dabok, which is coming up as the `Education City of Udaipur'. The college is well connected with city bus service and other modes of local transport. The institute also provides its own transport facility to the students.


Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies wants to establish itself as an Institute of Technical excellence to shoulder the national responsibility and to provide solutions of national importance.

To identify each individual student's talent, to shape it and empower them with latest technical knowledge.

To provide on the job and of the job practical training along with studies to meet the requirements of the industry.

To emphasize on overall development of career, character and personality of the students, to fulfill individual's ambitions and expectations of parents. To watch them growing as successful signatures of tomorrow.



The governing body of GITS is headed by Mr. J.P. Agarwal, an industrialist turned educationist, a person with great vision and commitment to provide quality education by modern methods. He has established Dental College, Management College and Commerce College in Udaipur. Now Mr. M.S. Bhatt has been appointed as Director of GITS, who served as administrator ISRO, Deputy Director SRI, CEO Arya Gr. In addition to these he has the experience of making various institutions and bringing modernization. He is member of FICCI & AIMA.

 



Dr. Awtar Narain Mathur born on 10th October 1945 at Jodhpur, Rajasthan, passed Higher Secondary Science in Ist Division with distinction in Chemistry and Mathematics, then did B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur in 1967 in Ist Division. He did his M.E. in Thermal Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in 1973. He is Ist Ph.D. of Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner in the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering in 1996.

Dr. Mathur has worked, since December 1967, as Junior Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Research Engineer and Associate Professor, Principal Scientific Officer and Professor at College of Technology & Agricultural Engineering, Udaipur.
