Prof. K. K. Jain obtained B.Sc. (Engg.) Civil
in 1965, M.Sc. (Engg.) in 1971 from Banaras Hindu University,
Varanasi and Ph.D. (Civil Engg.) in 1979 from I.I.T. Kanpur. He
joined the then Engineering College, BHU, in 1966 and completed
37 years of service before superannuating in 2003 as Professor
of Civil Engineering from Institute of Technology, BHU. He taught
various subjects at undergraduate level and Geotechnical Engineering
courses at postgraduate level. Dr. Jain published more than 20
research papers in national and international journals and conferences
and attended many national and international conferences. He has
guided 20 M.Tech. thesis in the field of Geotechnical Engineering.
Dr. Jain has been actively engaged in providing technical consultancy
to various governmental and private agencies in geotechnical designs
and explorations. He is life-fellow of Indian Geotechnical Society,
life-member of Indian Water Resources Society, life-member of
Indian Society for Technical Education. In addition, Dr. Jain
has shared many administrative responsibilities at BHU. He was
Vice-chairman of JEE IT-BHU for two years, Administrative warden
for six years and Additional Controller of Examinations, BHU for
five years etc.
Presently
Prof. Jain is Dean (Academics) of the Jaypee Institute of Engineering
and Technology and Head of the Department of Civil Engineering.
