Situated in the magnificent kumaon valley, the kumaon engineering college is an eminent technical institute of the state Uttarakhand. Since the year of its establishment in 1991, the institute has groomed hundreds of engineers, who are serving the technical industry with all their wits. The institute provides quality of physical and academic infrastructure to its students and the ambiance of the place just suits the innovative minds to work at their best. kumaon engineering college is an autonomous institute funded by the state government of Uttarakhand which was established with a view of promoting technological environment in the kumaon region and the past academic and placement records of the college speak well of it. The college runs four courses under the bachelor degree of engineering program and a masters course of computer applications. Besides the academic affairs the students are encouraged to participate in various indoor and outdoor co-curricular activities on a regular basis. After the formation of state technical university in 2006 the institute is run under the curriculum of the same.
