Job Description

• Responsible for corporate legal matters and general legal advisory services of Cipla group companies in various jurisdictions.


• Responsible for partnering with Emerging Markets Business and to provide timely delivery of quality legal services.


• Excellent understanding of regulatory, financial and commercial terms in Contracts.


• Experienced in complex contracts: IT/ITes/ STPI, Software licensing, Commercial Lease Contracts; Sound knowledge of laws & regulations governing the contracts; In-depth understanding of commercial terms, legal & contractual issues, business practices 


• Handling of legal disputes and litigation; advising the business functions on prevention of potential disputes and mitigation of legal risks. 


• Sound understanding of the labor and employment laws.


• Legal support to the business on various business initiatives and projects 


• Financial and business acumen: Understand financial concepts and impact of contract terms on those concepts; understand and identify potential legal risks and suggest mitigation; stay aligned with the business pursuit and priority to provide timely support.


• Post graduate degree in Law from a recognized University; 


• Excellent communication skill
